Paradise Villas- VILLA LEMON TREE

Paradise Villas is a newly built complex of four adjacent villas (each with a fully equipped kitchen) in a fenced, wooded, secluded lot, in the quaint seaside village of Koutsouras in South-East Crete. The complex is only a few minutes walk away from a quiet pebble beach with bars and restaurants and also close to all amenities in the village. A large sandy beach is found only 2 km away in the resort of Makrigialos. The villas are nestled within a beautiful garden, full of local fruit trees and flowers and Cretan herbs. The whole complex has been designed with comfort and eco-friendly holiday living in mind.

Lemon Tree Villa is a fully renovated traditional house that was built in 1935. The villa has thick stone walls and three outdoor patios (one shaded with a large lemon tree, one under a grapevine and the third one sunny). There are many authentic, hand-made decorations throughout the villa. The whole villa is ground level and handicapped accessible and has two master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, as well as a third large bedroom with 3 single beds. Two chairs in the living room open into two additional single beds. It has a private driving entrance. The west-facing master bedroom has a patio door opening onto a private alcove with a marble table and stone benches, where you can sit below the shade of a large lemon tree. The bedroom features an antique-like cast iron bed, an antique wooden desk with chair and two wooden night stands. The north wall above the bed has a large tapestry, hand-made on the loom by the owner’s grandmother in the 1940s. The west-facing bedroom has a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub/shower combination and two sinks. The east-facing master bathroom has a window to a patio with a smaller lemon tree, as well as a private bathroom with shower. This bedroom is furnished with the family’s treasures. The double wooden bed was built in the late 1950s and completely refurbished. The bed covers and curtains were also woven in the 1940s by the owner’s great aunt. The third bedroom is the largest, with two single beds and an electric AMEA bed. An old wooden chest from the 1930s hides several surprises for children. The third bathroom has a handicapped-accessible shower and sink. There is a large outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub on the deck with sun loungers and plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs for lazing around and relaxing.
