Petronikolis Suites

The distinguished traditional Guest House of the PETRONIKOLIS family, which was built in 1750 and reconstructed in 2005, is in the centre of the charming village of Houdetsi, 450 m above sea level. This is a great place to escape to nature, relax in the mountain environment and in the peaceful life of the village and taste authentic Cretan hospitality in a warm, homey atmosphere. Every possible attempt was made to preserve the original structure of the house with respect to the raw materials of wood and stone, as well as in the traditional equipment.

Each of the four cosy suites has kept its original name and has its own special history. They all have genuine Cretan décor, wooden ceilings, handmade wooden furniture, Cretan textiles and old historical framed photos. The house has lovely gardens, a swimming pool, playground for children and even its own tavern and traditional café. Many opportunities exist to taste the local cuisine and often to take part in local gatherings and celebrations.
