Villa Roxanne I

A few hundred meters from the tiny hamlet of Maza with its ancient Byzantine church, this charming villa stands alone on a small plateau amidst rolling hillsides dotted with cypress and pine trees. The authentic stone walls and faint pinkish mortar give an impression of mellow old age, even though the villa is new with all the modern conveniences. The traditional Cretan architecture is also in evidence in the interior spaces, enhanced with dark wood-beamed ceilings. The villa is comfortably furnished in an attractive antique style.

At the front of the villa, a rustic covered veranda with cushioned bench seating overlooks the pool and from here a door leads directly into the cosy living area, complete with stone fireplace. Through a stone archway is the brightly-colored, completely outfitted kitchen. French doors on one side lead to a small shaded terrace with a BBQ. The bedrooms have their own patios and garden areas. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, for 6 persons. Flowered gardens surround the villa and set into the lawn is a sparkling blue mosaic-tiled pool with a small pool for children at one end.
